Active synergy limit raised to 63/63 — all heroes, all the time. Synergy breakpoints moved to level 40 and 80.
Every ability cooldown is halved server-wide. Spec into your favorite kit and actually use it — no more standing around waiting on your hero’s payoff button.
Server-wide XP and loot drop multipliers. Every loot category drops — XP orbs, gems, pet items, team-up agents, fortune cards, vendor XP.
Stock Cosmic / Ultimate / Omega / Unique / Uru — plus five custom tiers above Cosmic with their own colors, beams, and affix ladders.
Every new account starts with 5,000 Gazillionite — roughly enough for five heroes. No paywall on the roster.
General, crafting, and per-avatar gear pages all unlock automatically when you finish the tutorial. No more 350–500 G per tab.
Eternity Splinters, Odin Marks, Arcane Fragments of Balthakk, and credits go straight to your wallet. No more orb-vacuuming through hub maps.
We rebalanced underperforming heroes so the whole roster is viable. Powers feel meaningful again, and pets/summons stay strong but not OP — no “12 minions clear the screen while you AFK” nonsense.
Every weekend we flip a different bonus on — rotating XP boosts, bumped drop rates, currency surges, target-farming buffs. Nothing on a calendar gimmick; if it’s the weekend, something is happening.
Drop tables tuned per zone, per enemy archetype, and per rarity tier — not a single global multiplier. Bosses drop boss-tier items, packs feed crafting, elites bridge the gap. No more 200 hours of garbage commons.
Champion enemies get reworked affix combos and on-hit effects so each pull plays differently. Same density, more variety — you’ll actually read the affix bar before you charge in.

Stock MHO won’t connect on its own. We distribute a small set of modded client files (the changes that make level 80, custom rarities, and the rest of our features actually render in the client) through Discord so we can push updates fast.
You’ll need a working install of Marvel Heroes Omega 1.52.0.1700 (2.16a). If you owned it on Steam, install it again, then drop the modded files on top.

Same as the original Marvel Heroes Omega. Anything that ran MHO in 2017 will run our build — the modded files are small overlays, not a new engine.

Marvel Heroes Omega was an ARPG developed by Gazillion Entertainment. It shut down on November 27, 2017. A passionate community has spent the years since reverse-engineering the protocol, rebuilding the server, and making the game playable again.
Omega Overlords runs on top of the open-source MHServerEmu project, with a layer of customizations focused on returning players: a higher ceiling, better drops, less friction, no microtransaction grind.
The full list of tunings is documented in our public runbook so nothing about this server is a black box.
Omega Overlords exists for one reason: keeping Marvel Heroes alive for the people who still love it. There’s no company behind this, no roadmap meeting, no monetization team.
